Forestland ownership offers an attractive alternative to conventional investments that has many individuals, institutional investors and pension funds investing in forestland at a rapid pace. This is occuring for a variety of reasons – among them being pure economic investement, recreational purposes or retirement homesites. 

The attraction of forestland investment revolves around the base value of land in general and the appreciation in forest values as the trees grow. Intermediate returns are realized from selling forest products in an environmentally sound manner with knowledeable marketing and supervision. This gives forested property a unique attribute in that, with proper management, the investment grows over time without additional outlays of capital.
