Keith Webb, Environmental
Operations Manager

Keith joined Advanced Ecology, Ltd. in December of 2004. Keith completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at Stephen F. Austin State University in 2001, with minors in Forest Wildlife Management and Biology. Keith completed a Master of Science degree, also from Stephen F. Austin State University, with a focus on wetland wildlife ecology and management in 2005. Keith’s areas of expertise include Section 404/10 permitting and policy; forest, wildlife, and wetland ecology; forest wildlife management, mitigation development and planning, wetlands delineation, and project oversight.

As a graduate student, Keith was responsible for coordinating and conducting scientific research examining habitat use and growth rates of the American Alligator in East Texas. Throughout this 3-year project, Keith conducted alligator population surveys, followed nuisance-alligator movements via radio-telemetry, and captured, measured, marked, and released over 280 alligators. Keith also had involvement in a number of other graduate student projects including behavior and chronology of wintering diving ducks, habitat use of the American Woodcock, and conversion of tame-grass pastures to native grasses.

Keith’s consulting experience began in 1999 with Texoma Hatcheries in Whitesboro, Texas, where he gained experience with the management of private ponds and small lakes for recreational fishing. In 2002, he interned with the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where he became involved in a number of fish and wildlife research and demonstration projects. These projects involved population monitoring and management for both game and non-game wildlife species, and management/control of damage caused by wildlife, such as feral hogs, beavers, skunks, and armadillos.

Keith is a proponent of natural resource education and outreach programs. He has certifications by the Project WILD and Texas Youth Hunt programs, and has interned with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as an interpretation/education intern. Keith also regularly teaches educational programs to elementary school and junior high school students.

Keith places top priority on his spiritual and family life.  Keith is also passionate about land stewardship and conservation of natural resources.  Both Keith, his wife Andrea (a biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department), and their daughter (Autumn) are active outdoors people and enjoy nature watching, hunting, fishing, and playing on their family farm in Panola County, Texas.
