Cultural Resources
AEL manages cultural resource issues by meeting state
and federal regulatory requirements. AEL staff
members have assisted in projects ranging from private
utility right-of-ways to state recreational parks throughout
Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. The
firm offers proficiency in every aspect of cultural
resources management from predictive modeling to final
mitigation. 
Other archaeological services include literature and
record searches, cultural resources surveys, geoarchaeological
investigations, site testing for NRHP (National Register
of Historic Places) eligibility, and site excavation.
AEL has experience working with the latest GPS, databases,
and GIS applications as needed to conduct fieldwork,
analyze artifacts, and prepare reports in compliance
with state and federal guidelines.
Staff members have experience working on small, independent
investigations to directing as many as 25 other archeologists
working in crews. Victor Galan, an associate
and senior archeologist of AEL, holds a MA in Anthropology
and is a PhD candidate at Texas A&M University. Mr.
Galan is a member of the Council of Texas Archaeologist
(CTA) and a member of the Texas Archeological Society
(TAS). |
